4 Steps to “Adjust” Your Attitude (and other Words of Wisdom)

A is for Attitude. Your attitude determines your level of happiness and success you possess in life. When negativity sneaks up on you, it is important to remember how to adjust your attitude back to the positive side. Here are Four (4) Key Steps to getting and keeping an incredible attitude (by Shad Helmstetter)
1. Awareness – Always be aware of your attitude
2. Ownership – Always “own” your own attitude
3. Protection – Always protect your attitude from negative emotions
4. Improvement – Always “build” your attitude everyday

Developing this awareness of your attitude makes it easier to take ownership of it. Once you have claimed your attitude, protecting it and improving it will flow more easily.

Personal reflection is the key to getting and keeping a positive attitude. If you do just one thing today, think about your attitude. If something goes your way, how do you react? What if something doesn’t go your way or tragedy happens? What is your attitude like then? Assessing this is your first step towards developing a healthy attitude.
